Alexeter Mineral Makeup Review

Hello Dolls,

Today I'm doing a short review on Alexeter Mineral Makeup. Its a home-based business from Canada that I recently discovered and now love. I own several colors as well as a few sample baggies. However, I won't be swatching those. Here is a picture of the ones I do own though.

[ Free Samples that came with two seperate orders! click to enlarge, the one on the very end is called "2 Hot 2 Handle" You can't read it because of the way I folded the bag.]

[ Left To Right : Forbodden, Oro, Deep Kiss]

[Top Left To Right To Bottom: Mistress Janice, Koomaree, Prncess Buttercup]

And here are the lovely swatches!

While I really love all of the colors I own, my favorites are by far Oro and Deep Kiss.
I even did a look with these today that I have posted below. These shadows, worn over E.L.F. eye primer stayed on all night at my job. I work in a kitchen so the true test of any makeup is can it withstand sweat, heat, getting wet, etc. Alexeter passed ALL of these. While it didnt look as great as it did when I first put it on, it withstood the "elements" of my job way better than other makeup brands that I have worn at work. Plus, there was absolutly NO CREASING.  Right Now there is a sale going on, all shadows [ I believe its 3 gram jars] are on sale for $4.50. I'm unsure of what the usual prices are, but you should take advantage while you can, as the sale ends on Easter.

So I would definitly reccomend trying these out. I've provided a link below.

A Little Of My Work

I had quite the busy day today, So I don't have time for a review. I thought I'd post a few pictures of makeup I did for a friend of my mother's daughter. The photos don't necessarily focus on showcasing the makeup because I didn't take them. They were actually taken by local photographer. I was way too sick at the time and totally spaced on remembering to take photos. haha. Thank goodness someone remembered. :)  Photo Credits: Jeremy Williams Photography

Simply Kendra Is Simply Amazing

For My first review I decided to showcase a brand that I recently just ordered from. Simply Kendra is a mineral makeup company based out of Louisiana. I always enjoy buying and supporting these smaller companies! I ordered four of the 3gram jars of mineral shadows as well as one sample baggie. However, two additional free baggies were included in my order. All of the eyeshadows, save for the free samples, were purchased with my own money, so I am NOT  being paid to write this review. and blah blah blah. :P
The first thing I noticed about my order was the cute sticker she included on my package. The attention to small details such as this  are really important to me. She also included a personal handwritten note on my invoice and a card that listed the ingredients that were found in the products.[Picture Below]  I find these small touches are one of the many perks from buying from a home-based business as opposed to the larger chain brands.
 Cute Packaging & Ingredient List

Note: Its always important to read what you are putting on your face!
Simply Kendra eyeshadows & lip balms are vegan. I know of girls that will only wear "cruelty-free/ vegan makeup.
I ordered the following eyeshadows: [@ $3.00 ea.]
Heavy Metal Kitten- A glittery silver/metallic
Naughty Librarian- Dark Purple W/ Glitter
Mermaid Tears- Seafoam green
Starry Night- Dark Blue W/ Glitter
[I love the Labels!]

Sample Bags:[ @ $1.00 ea.]
Razzatazz- Shimmery Purple/Pink
Aztec Maiden - Bright Teal Blue
voodeaux-Black W/Glitter
Swatches! [Dry Without Primer]
The eyeshadows were pretty cheaply, 3 gram jars are three dollars, while five gram jars are, of course, five dollars. These are by far some of my favorite mineral eyeshadows that I have purchased to date. I even feel, my opinion and all, that they are superior to the E.L.F. mineral eyeshadows. They are not only the same price as the E.L.F. shadows, but the colors are prettier and more imaginative. While she does carry some basic neutral colors, Simply Kendra also features a wide range of wild colors. While some ocassions do call for a simpler color palette, I know that I love playing with color, and these seem to be just the right shadows to get the job done! Simply Kendra does carry some lip products as well as blushes. However, I have yet to try those. If any of you HAVE tried them, what do you think of them? While It may seem that I'm gushing over this brand, I cannot wait until I order some more of the collection. Not only would I purchase again from this company, I'd glady reccomend it to friends/family.

Makeup Question: WHATS YOUR FAVORITE MINERAL EYESHADOW BRAND?
